Garnette is the CEO and founder of Wild Dahlia Salon, a holistic all-texture salon created from her lifelong love of hair, wellness, and helping people feel truly at home in themselves.

A hairstylist since 2004, Garnette spent years working in different salon environments while searching for a place that aligned with her own values. In 2011, after experiencing some health concerns, she returned to school and earned a certificate in Holistic Nutrition. This opened the door to years of learning about traditional nutrition, wellness practices, and creating a lower-toxin lifestyle.

When she returned to hairdressing in 2020, Garnette knew she wanted to approach the industry differently. She began specializing in curly hair and searching for a salon environment that felt healthier—for both the people working behind the chair and the clients sitting in it. When she couldn't find that space locally, she decided to create it herself.

Wild Dahlia Salon was born in 2022 with a simple vision: to create a welcoming space where beautiful hair and holistic wellness could exist together. Today, Garnette is passionate about helping clients understand and embrace their natural hair, especially those who have spent years believing their hair was “too difficult” or “challenging.” She particularly loves working with curls and helping women discover that their natural texture can be one of their greatest assets.

Her background in holistic nutrition continues to influence the way she approaches hairdressing. Garnette believes healthy hair is about more than what happens in the salon—it is also connected to how we care for ourselves, our environment, and our overall wellbeing.

As CEO, Garnette is equally passionate about building a healthy salon culture. She regularly educates and mentors her team in curly hair, holistic haircare, and wellness, while also supporting the next generation of hairstylists through mentorship of apprentices from the PVSS hairdressing program in Armstrong.

Outside of Wild Dahlia, Garnette enjoys spending time with her family, working in the garden, getting outdoors, baking, and continually learning about traditional living, nutrition, and wellness.

For Garnette, Wild Dahlia is more than a salon. It is a space where people can learn, connect, feel cared for, and leave feeling more confident in who they naturally are.
